More rain appeared for this Tuesdays time trial, it had stopped for the race itself but wet roads and a southerly wind made for challenging conditions for the riders. Despite that, 10 riders were determined not to miss the last Hilly of the year. Most riders lost time on the previous weeks race but Paul Rogers was able to take 16 seconds off his time to secure the win in a time of 52:50. Rob Burns proved none the worse following his rescue the previous week and claimed second at +2:22, with TT stalwart Andy Walters snatching third at +4:29. The only other rider to improve from the previous week was Mohammed Sheikh who took a massive 1:12 off his time giving him the handicap win. The Grayson family were out in support of John Grayson but this wasn't enough to help John beat the hour mark, however Andy O'Connor continued with his improvement over the season pushing his PB down to 58:06.
The racing moves back to Gailey for the remaining three 10's but there are also the 5K Track Time Trials in August, Monday 3rd August is now fully booked but there are still places available for Saturday 15th so don't delay, sign up today! ;)
Thanks to John Rushton and Pete Hartill for running the event and for all their hard work over the season.
