With a Southerly wind blowing, 11 riders decided to try the complexities of the Wheelers Sporting Time Trial. Rob W. Burns took an early lead with a time of 27:59 before being overhauled by triathlete Paul Rogers in 27:06. Mark Spruce caused some confusion by crossing the finish line in the wrong direction after taking a wrong turn. Similarly Gary Burke feeling that the finish was too easy, decided to use the finish for the Hilly TT course instead! Jordan Bason stormed into the lead with a time of 26:30 but all eyes were on last rider to start Andy Tennant. Along with Jordan, Andy was using the event as a final warm up for this weekend's National 10 mile TT Championship and showed his form by winning the event by over 3 minutes and setting the course record at 23:03. Next week sees another opportunity for riders to lose there way around the sporting course!
Thanks to John Rushton and Pete Hartill for setting up and time keeping the event.
