This Sunday's 5 Mile TT saw both riders and marshalls having to contend with winds and torrential rain. Nine hardy souls braved the elements with Andy Walters taking an early lead in a time of 15:11. Next to finish was Lauren Creamer who found the going so tough she felt the need to have a lie down part way round the course! Fortunately she was unharmed and still managed to clock an impressive 15:19. Josh Burke put up a strong challenge to Andy finishing just 3 seconds slower in a time of 15:14 and taking the prize for fastest Junior. However it was last rider off Jeff Outhwaite of Black Country Triathletes that took the win in a very rapid 14:13, with Andy Walters holding on to be fastest Wheeler. Fastest youth rider was Danielle Nicholls riding in her first road time trial, the good news for Danielle is that conditions don't get much worse than that!
Thanks once again to John and Kim Creamer and Melanie Burke for setting up, time keeping and marshalling under very testing conditions!
