8 Riders decided to test themselves on the inaugural Wheelers 5 mile TT at Halfpenny Green. The Friday night track sessions payed off for John Grayson who was the first rider to finish, setting a time of 14:33. The next rider in was Lauren Creamer who, despite racing at Tudor Grange the previous day, was only 5 seconds slower than John, with a time of 14:38. Looking for a strong ride, Gary Burke was hampered by technical issues with his pedals, losing him valuable time and a potential podium finish, having to settle for a time of 16:08. In the end John Grayson's time stood as the fastest, with Lauren Creamer second and fastest lady and late entrant Peter Robinson of Black Country Triathletes taking the final spot on the podium.
